my quiet, alone time is coming to an end. I can hear squeaky upstairs chattering to herself about whatever is going on in the world of the crib. One 13 month old and 2 stuffed dogs, blue and biscuit.... how much trouble can they get up to?

I should be ready to go...I should have a list but I just am not there yet. In less than 24 hours I will be in Memphis. Knowing this, I assume that in 24 hours.... I will have bbq sauce under my sweetly manicured nails... and probably on my clothes somewhere. I hope there are blues playing while I am eating that BBq but it can wait til later that night while I am on a date w/ Bubba!

Bubba is taking anesthesia classes..... Evelyn, her Auntie Shar and me...well, we will be doing what tourists do. However, the forecast brags of rain so, perhaps we will be swimming in the pool instead of dancing around Graceland.

Graceland. A place I have never really had any desire to go to. But, when in Memphis.... why not? Would hate to have any "i wish i" stuff in the future. Actually, I am looking forward to going to the Peabody Hotel where the ducks march twice a day....Can't wait to hear Ev squeal when she sees that.

On the home front.... the rain cleared today and the sun is semi/sorta out. Loved lying in bed last night listening to the thunderstorm crossing over. Was very weird to hear of 40plus inch blizzard conditions to the west... major, catastrophic flooding just north and tornado warnings/watches to the south of us..... A very odd day for weather....

Today I must get my act together and figure out how to pack for Ev and myself. Damn the airlines for charging for each bag.... I really appreciated the one bag allowance..... suckers.
