Life in a nutshell has been busy...

--Evelyn and I are learning to be mobile.... (SO much easier w/o the car carrier baby seat thingy) and venturing out is way more enjoyable so we do it much more often.

--Ev had her 9 month check up yesterday... a flu shot and weighed 18 lbs... on the smaller side I guess but since her MOm and her dad are a bit chubby I will take that..... She received a gold star/clean bill of health.

-- Ev is CRUISING... she pulls herself to standing on everything... and walks along the edge of the couch... and anything long enough to walk along... so yes, lots of bumps and bruises.... (mostly bumps)

-- 9 MOnth pics yesterday... my smiley girl wouldn't smile... but drooled nonstop (teething)... and pee'd all over the backdrop when we got her nakie... w/ her santa hat.... it brought a whole new meaning to slip and slide..... =)

-- EXcited... for the first time in 6 years I get to have a real thanksgiving meal.... Albeit the day after but so what! My sisters are coming to SD for thanksgiving day 2.... BUbba is on call on turkey day so he won't trek to MN with us.... but stay home and do food prep IF he isn't working...

---SPeaking of BUBBa... he tore his miniscus..... a month or so ago... he's been babying it... and finally had an MRI yesterday.... so the tech told him it was torn... but must wait til the orthopod givesh im his diagnosis...... looks like a bit o' surgery for him.. =( its sore and monday he worked 22 hours in a row w/ a 15 minute break.... really now.. how many people in one tiny town can need that much surgery?

== CHristmas fever..... I have it like a bad rash... I even bought (hangs head in a teensy bit of shame.... a PINK christmas tree for Ev's room) hehahahah had to...... can't wait to start decorating... should be fun fun fun...

--- SHOPPING for Ev..... I can't wait to give her presents... I know she will be clueless but I don't care... I bought this...



its fun and I highly recommend it..... Ev lovesit and so do older kids.....

its GEARS and you can move them around...stack them... and then touch a button and they light up, move and make sound...weeeeeeeeeeee!

== Me? Im good.... btw, I need to personally thank some of you for your kind words and thoughts during that very difficult time for me.... at first I couldn't respond because my feelings were so raw and right there... but time has a way of dulling pain and well, the joy of living is much greater.... I have a beautiful life, if it stays like this... what's to complain about?!!

LAst but not least.... EVELYN plays HOW BIG?! YAY!
