Thats right! IT'S OCTOBER!!!! WEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I love October. The leaves are turning. The nights are cool and crisp with warmish days and need I mention the beautiful Minnesota colours that are turning every shade of blazing yumminess? Oh yeah, that's right.... I'm in South Dakota... where the 8 trees are a mildly beautiful shade of goodness. It is still pretty in its own right so I shouldn't complain too much.

So, here we are. Oct. 1.... less than 3 months til christmas.. less than 5 months til Evelyn's birthday. Holy moly.

My house is freshly painted, mostly clean and looking very festive and fallish. I find as each day goes by that Evelyn's goals are simply to get anything she can grab at her level which makes furniture arranging and decorating a challenge. I have a gorgeous arrangement of sunflowers that sits in a vase on the flor but time has proved to me that its time to move it.

I have 3 pumpkins already and room for many, many more. I cannot even believe how expensive they are. Maybe next year I should grow my own? Carving them this year will be fun and hopefully I can find one big enough to plunk Ev down in...and snap a few pictures!



**** Just a quick preview of her upcoming Halloweener costume..... I realize thats a male costume but so ....she's too cute!

Oh fart, nap time is over... I did get a shower and a full set of legs shaved silky smoooth.... lunch... a load of laundry in the washer.... unloaded the dishwasher, loaded it again... and surfed the net.. so I guess that means... its time to get up! My shower routine consists of jumping in... washing my hair... and scrubbing fast...... sometimes I get a lower leg shaved maybe 2.... lowers..... or one full leg.. and then I hear my twitterbug on the monitor and the rest of the deal is off............... I feel grateful I get a shower...not everyone can do it during the day.

Evelyn has become a chatterbox. I was worried about that because she had been so quiet. Well, she is still quiet... but lots of duh, duh, duhduh... (dada?) and buh buh buh buhbuh (BUbba?) ... is being muttered around here.

Last night we went across the street to our bestest friends... and Heather said that Ev is a "crawler" ... I say she crawls when it is convienient for her.... mostly the army crawl.... a few t imes she has tried to pull herself up to standing....

in other news...we went to Fargooooo eh? yesterday to buy a gun (tis the season yanoo) and I got some great shoes... a sweater.... a Life Is Good tshirt that rawks and Ev got her Christmas outfit..... complete w/ RED TIGHTS! tights...oh my ...... we went to SAMs and loaded up on diapers.... wipes (way cheeper and much much the bestest) .. and baby food... didn't even know they had babyfood..... forgot dishwasher detergent tho..... GERRR

anyway....

take some time and enjoy OCtober.... it's a fantastical month and I find much joy in the simple things it has to offer...... I will be posting pics of those things steadily this month...

I hope I get Ev's 6 month pics this week...if so, I will post a link.
